Canyoning in Abel Tasman
Me and my brother Marcus went out on adventure once again while we were in Able Tasman called Canyoning. It's a combination with hiking, climbing, zip lining, cliff diving and a lot of other crazy things.
We started out with a hike up the mountain to get to the view and to get to the canyon where we would spend the rest of the day getting down from. It was a good walk and the group had a really high tempo tip the top. We stopped once to have a juice drink and before getting our wet suites on we had a lunch. Then we started to head into the water. It was so weird to be wearing clothes (even if it was a wet suite) and walk straight into the water.
It started of pretty hard right away with climbing and jumping though slippery rocks. We climbed on narrow paths stuck to wires and then we had to slide down a big rock, maybe 2 meters down. Just that was scary, but by then we didn't know what we had in front of us. Not long after that we had to do a 5 meters cliff jump down into the water with rocks around. The scariest part was that it was rocks every where and you had to jump a surtain distance to not hit one of them... everyone did fine and if we didn't make this we were not allowed to do the higher jumps after if we couldn't manage this one so that was cool.
We only had one instructor in the beginning and we was working so hard to help all of us (7 beginners) but did such a great job the whole time. He had to zip line us down at one place but he could show us all at the same time cuz it would be to dangerous so after helping the 4 first he claimed up to help us other before going down to catch us there. After half way down two other instructors had climbed up toward us to help out. They were so funny and so good in what they were doing. The next big cliff dive came and we all made the 8 meter jump. I even did it 3 times 😄. There was a little lower jump there as well where they told us to do a front flip. We all went crazy and did it several times!! And then I saw my brother, another guy and one instructor climbed up somewhere else so I followed and it showed to be the back flip cliff 😂. Upssiii!... but it was just to listen to what the instructor told us and do it, so now I've even backflipped into a canyon 😌✌🏼.
There was several sliding down in waterfalls, diving, climbing until we reached the end where we got some chocolate 😍. For you who doesn't know my brother put me on a pretty stricked diet here but this time I was "allowed" to have it.
I loved the whole day and it's something I could recommend for everyone who likes adventures and is little used to be moving.

Yeah, we are just chilling behind the waterfall.
Marcus go all in for the zip line.
We were sliding down this waterfall and the swam behind it.
