Birthday celebration at Withsunday Island
We have a lot of fun activities planned for this place, like (the guys has) skydive, bungee, tribulation, scuba diving and a lot of parties. We live in the Gilligans which is one of the biggest hostels in the whole Australia and known to have crazy parties.
This past Thursday the guys and I went on the Atlantic Clipper boat from Airli beach to spend a couple nights by sea and visit the magical Withsunday Island. The Clipper is known as "THE PARTY BOAT" and of course we picked that one. And it sure was a lot of partying going on that boat, but that didn't stop the crew to wake us up really early in the mornings to get to the beautiful beaches or snorkeling places. Luckily I usually don't get hangover so I was pretty fine waking up at 06.00 in the morning to the Lion King song in the speakers. But what was a boomer was that the first day when we had the chance to jump out of the boat or slide down from one of the slides was that I dislocated my shoulder.. We started of course partying before playing around in the water so the alcohol helped me very though the pain. But omg, it was hurting so bad and I couldn't move my arm first. I had to twist back and forward and then I turned my shoulder back with a snap and I just wanted to cry but it helped and it didn't hurt as much right after. I couldn't use my arm cuz of the pain but I was able to move it at least after that. I've never done anything like that before so I wasn't totally sure what actually happened so I continued having fun. Later on the same night I had more pain in my shoulder again and I asked the crew what to do. I know that was stupid that I didn't tell anyone what happened before and that I continued the party for hours without doing anything about it... I stopped partying after talking with the crew and had a chill night watching the shark who swam next to our boat the whole night.
Friday as I told you before we woke up to the Lion King song and I couldn't do anything else then laugh and start of the day with a big smile. We went to the famous Whiteheaven beach and enjoyed the sun for the whole morning. When you get into the water this far up in Australia you have to wear a stinger suit so the stingrays or the jelly fish don't kill you (right away) if they're close by. The suits was pretty nice cuz we couldn't burn with those on 😄. We also go together to chase the sting rays to get inbeween us so we could have a closer look at them. They don't do any harm if they don't feel like their life are in danger, and they didn't so nothing happened. I got some really nice up close pictures with my GoPro which was cool. Also that one of the rays swam right at me and I freaked out 😅.
After leaving that cool Island and beautiful white beach we were heading to a place in the Great Barrier reefs to snorkel. We saw a lot of colorful fish and corals but no sharks, turtles or any other cool animals. I had a hard time swimming with my hurting shoulder so I had a nudle (a foamy thing that floats) to helped me float around.
That night it was a big party going on. Every one at the boat had to get dressed out, and the girls decided what to wear and also an outfit for a guy. It was hilarious and I couldn't stop laughing. There was a lot of games going on and the one who won would win The King of the Boat and The Queen of the boat, and who do you thing won?! Haha of course I did! I'm not sure if they really took me to the finals cuz of my skills or if I just got there cuz of my birthday celebration. Anyhow, it was so much fun. Marcus and Tobi had been planing to celebrate me at the boat as well and had brought a cake so when the crew came with it everyone started to sing Happy Birthday. It was a delicious chocolate cake with glow sticks as candles. I felt really honored by the guys effort to surprise me. So lovely 👸🏼🎂That night we decided to sleep on deck which was really cozy. We woke up freezing with the rain hitting us at 06.00 so we ran down to have breakfast before everyone else woke up. We got one more chance to snorkel and they also had taken out the other slide with was a lot of fun. Then we headed back to land again. This is for sure a trip to remember. And my shoulder is fine now as long as I don't try to have it straight up or carry to heavy things ☺💪🏼.
